Hatha classes

Hatha yoga focuses on physical postures (asana) and the breath (pranayama), to create balance and achieve harmony between body and mind. Hatha symbolizes opposites forces and literally means “willpower”. We use the body and breath in order to still the mind, which is the ultimate goal of yoga. 

Specifically, the physical postures of hatha yoga are designed to stretch and strengthen the body, improve flexibility and balance, and release tension and stress. We typically hold static poses and learn to find stillness, but I also bring vinyasa elements to the class, in order to create more of a dynamic flow. Through regular practice, the goal of hatha yoga is to develop greater awareness, concentration, and self-discipline, leading to a deeper understanding of oneself and one's connection to the world around them. 

I aim to create challenging, fun, and balanced classes that help you cultivate a state of inner peace, well-being and joy.
